Meet the Herd

  • Tempest Farm Fireball

Fireball is our herd buck. He’s large with red and white markings and gorgeous hair. He is great-grandson of MGR National and Grand Champion winners. Fireball is very laid back and enjoys spending his days eating brush along our hayfields.

  • Mending Wall's Heather (Penelope)

Penelope was born in 2016 and has raised over 13 kids, mostly matched with Fireball. In 2021 she had Nina and Nacho (now our Posey and Pio) with Pahl’s Farm Lil Leo. She is the mother of Henry & Hazel. She is a sassy lady and a protective mother.

  • Mending Wall's Nina (Posey)

Posey was born in 2021 and has raised 4 kids, including our Pepe & Pia. Her great-grandfather on her sire’s side was a MGR Grand Champion! Posey is a very sweet goat and an excellent mother.

  • Mending Wall's Nacho (Pio)

Pio was born in 2021 and is Posey’s twin. He is a wether, which means he has been castrated and cannot produce offspring. His job is to hang out with Fireball in the breeding off season, and to supervise the non-breeding goats during the breeding season.

  • Oakley

Oakley is an unregistered fainting goat with some likely Boer influence. He is a wether and is living out his retirement here at Dancing Bear Farm. He was born in 2018 at Chip-in Farm in Bedford to parents Violet & Romeo

  • Checkers

Checkers is an unregistered fainting goat from Chip-in Farm in Bedford MA. She was born in 2018 to parents Giddily & Romeo. She is the herd leader and is very strong-willed, just like her mother.

  • Dot

Dot is an unregistered fainting goat from Chip-in Farm in Bedford MA. She was born in 2018 to parents Penny & Romeo. She is a very nosey goat and an experienced escape artist.

  • Penuche

Penuche is an unregistered fainting goat from Chip-in Farm in Bedford MA. She was born in 2018 to parents Penny & Romeo. Penuche is the calmest, friendliest, sweetest goat in the herd.

  • Moo

Moo is an unregistered fainting goat from Chip-in Farm in Bedford MA. She was born in 2018 to parents Domino and Romeo. Moo had a hard time fitting in with the herd and did NOT like that her retirement was interrupted by our new education program, so she has gone to live on a different farm with a horse, a goat, and two loving humans.

  • Girl & A Goat Farm's Hazel

Hazel (doe) was born 5/22/25 to Penelope. She won best of breed and best of meat class at the Tunbridge Fair in Vermont this year. We are keeping Hazel on the farm as a potential future breeding goat.

  • Girl & A Goat Farm's Pepe

Pepe (whether) was born in 5/10/25 to Posey. He is developing a beautiful cashmere coat and we are excited to see how that develops. Pepe is very friendly and outgoing and the softest goat you’ll ever pet! We are tentatively planning to keep him, but are open to offers.

  • Girl & A Goat Farm's Pia

Pia (doe) was born in 5/10/25 to Posey. She has a thick coat and a sturdy body, and the sweetest lamb-like face. Pia is registered with the Myotonic Goat Registry and is available for sale for $350
