Pasture Walk Twilight Meeting

  • Dancing Bear Farm 379 Jarvis Hill Road Claremont, NH, 03743 United States (map)

Join Extension’s Beginning Farmer Program and Granite State Graziers for a pasture walk at Dancing Bear Farm. This event is a follow-up to On The Ground Grazing: Real Plans from Real Farmers webinar held in April. We invite you to join the pasture walk, regardless of whether you attended the previous webinar or not. This event will be geared towards participants who are thinking of starting a farm or are in their first few years of farming, but anyone is welcome to attend.

We will gather in the evening to take a tour of Dancing Bear Farm, with emphasis on their grazing management and planning. Dancing Bear Farm is small, diversified, educational farm using regenerative silvopasture practices to raise goats, horses, pigs, chickens, and turkeys. They also grow produce, make maple syrup, and offer nature-based education.

This event is free, but registration is required. Reach out to Caroline, caroline.beaton@unh.edu, for the recording of the past webinar.
