A Barter Circle is a great way to build connections with others in our community over shared interests, skills to be exchanged, and compatible trades. We find that the formal circle is just the start to the barter, with even more meaningful trades and connections happening between folks after the circle has closed.

Join us on the farm in a celebration for the moms! Let’s meet some of our farm animal moms (and their babies!)

After visiting the animals we will sample some sun teas and enjoy a tea party with teatime treats together.

Go home with tea bags created during the class to continue the fun at home!

All ages welcome!

Fall Barn Buddies Session 2

Barn Buddies Grades K-2 - Fridays 3:30-5:30

Each day we will feed the animals then prepare and share a farm snack together. We’ll learn how to care for the animals on the farm, make crafts using natural materials, harvest and plant in the garden, and explore the fields and forest!

Join us for a hands-on poultry processing workshop at Dancing Bear Farm, where you will have the chance to learn how to process chickens from slaughter to packaging!

This class is suitable for complete beginners as well as those looking to brush up their processing skills. Ages 12+ are welcome to join in.

Farmers In Training

Farmers in Training - Grades 6-8 - Mondays 3:30-5:30

We will go more in-depth on animal care and farming while building confidence in ourselves and growing leadership skills. Each participant will choose an animal to specialize in throughout the session, and we will also decide on a group project to take on to help our farm and our community. Upon completion of either the fall or spring session, participants will be eligible for the upcoming 2026 Summer CIT Program.

Mondays 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/20 (no class 10/13)

$95/session can be paid by cash or check on the first day of the session
